シュロスホテル・ラルスヴィークは、当初1894年から1896年にかけてダグラス伯爵によって建てられ、庭園やその他の部分は少し後に追加・拡張されたものです。第二次世界大戦後、城は老人ホームやドイツ赤十字の障害者介護施設として利用されました。1990年代末に現在のオーナーがこの城を購入し、現在のような壮大なキャッスルホテルにするために改装を開始しました。また、19世紀の本物の家具も展示され、当時の雰囲気を醸し出しています。
